Every now and then toy companies produce toys in limited quantities or mass produce toys only to have nobody interested in them and later on, a surge in demand creates sky rocketing toy prices for toys that used to be available everywhere. Couple this concept with nostalgia and the desire for vintage or classic toys and you get a market for highly collectible, but highly expensive and rare toys. These toys are not to be played with and upon opening these, they will immediately lose over half their value.
